Event: Remix The Palette

Remix The Palette is a hands-on workshop for professionals led by architect Michael Ford, also known as The Hip Hop Architect. Ford will guide design professionals through using Hip Hop–inspired prompts to create material palettes with Material Bank.

Space is limited, and all participants must bring a laptop or iPad.

The workshop will conclude with a brief overview of The Hip Hop Architecture Camp coming to Boston in 2026 and how you can get involved!

Learning Outcomes
By participating in this workshop, architects and design professionals will:

  • Explore how Hip Hop culture can be used as a framework to spark creativity in material selection.

  • Learn how to use Material Bank’s digital tools to organize and specify materials.

  • Discover strategies for integrating cultural context into material palettes and communicating those ideas to clients and collaborators.

(This session qualifies for 2 AIA Learning Units [LU].)
